"Memories are a running theme throughout my work. My canvases stand as evidence for things act, things past, and things dreamt,
This house - the temple of my exhibition - conjures all of these
and becomes a canvas for myself".
and becomes a canvas for myself".
- Ramansh Bhargava
What stood here before? What dreams dreamt, hopes lost, and lives lived. This space will be broken down soon. Which of these did it hold?
This exhibition's conceptual and curatorial premise draws on themes of time, erasure, and memory.
My interpretation of this idea was to show Ramash as a kind of shadow around this space- a dismembered presence, a fading photograph.
